I’ve used API Stress Coat for years. It is the best product on the market for treating the water before adding new water to the aquarium or while transferring fish. I subtracted one star from this particular order because the packager failed to make sure the lid was on tight and some of the product leaked out (see photo).

A great product and a must for fish. Water clarity great size bottle lasts for a very long time probably a year for 10 gal tanks. It has no smell and it balances the phone in the tank and prevents stress of fish which van kill them from shock so have this and NO worries. I been using over 20 yrs actually 40 yrs and I do not use any other brand. I ONLY trust API and Terra for all fish tanks..

I’ve always relied on stress coat for my fish. my only disappointment was it was not packed properly so I lost half the bottle in the mailer. it’s not a very big bottle to begin with. not sure if anything can be done for my loss

Some of my plants had brown tips. Told that they had chlorin poison. Since using this product all my plants are now beautiful w/no more brown tips on new leaves. I use10 litres of water with 2 tblspns of this product. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I use this in my small pond and my aquariums.
Whenever I add new fish I use API Stress Coat.
I get a lot of my pond and aquarium fish shipped to me.
Sometimes fish can get injured from the packing and shipping process. Plus it does stress them out a lot.
I use API Stress Coat every time I add fish to my pond or aquariums, and as of now I have a 100% success rate. The fish just thrive.
I use it as directed and I have peace of mind.
In addition, buying pond and aquarium fish, especially on-line can be expensive. Especially when shipping costs are added.
Using API Stress Coat is cheap insurance.
I would rather use API Stress Coat and be proactive rather than having to cure an injured and / or sick fish.
IMHO, it’s worth it.
(Oh yeah. I thought I’d point out that the Sarasa Goldfish and Shubunkin Goldfish you see in the pictures were purchased here on Amazon. We bought them from Toledo Goldfish right here. Beautiful and healthy fish. This is not a plug for Toledo Goldfish. Just an FYI if you are looking for beautiful and healthy goldfish.)

API Stress Coat is fantastic for my aquarium, but the 1-ounce bottle is pretty small. It works well for conditioning water and protecting fish, but it’s easy to go through it quickly.
