It’s a little fiddly to set up, but once it’s going, there’s no more trouble. The sound is just fine and clear and she helps me with crossword puzzles, weather forecasts, turns lights on and off and reads me a book at bedtime. A neat and unobtrusive little ball.

I think I probably have a collection of Echo Dots now as I have four. Okay not a lot in terms of a collection, but enough for most rooms in the house. My latest two are the latest generation and I’ve moved my two older ones into less used rooms. The sound on the latest devices is markedly different to my earlier ones. it’s a much deeper more rounded sound. My only issue… I just wish the Charcoal one came with a black cable as the white really stands out against my black furniture! I know, it’s probably a woman thing!
