This I liked that the instructions in the box were very easy to follow. I got these for my fish tank to make sure that the water parameters were safe for my snails. I needed to check the calcium levels in the water and these strips were great at accurately measuring that. I would recommend this to anyone that needs to buy some water test strips on a budget.

Purchased these to monitor a new tank. I used the strips frequently through the first week, paying particular attention to amonia and nitrate levels. I made adjustments to alkalinity based on these readings as well. All the while, my new fish died one by one.
I tested the water using a strip this morning and all looked good. I brought a sample to the fish store, where they used another brand of test strips and also dropper-based tests. Turns out, all the values I had been seeing were way off. The pH was significantly lower, and most importantly, the nitrates were totally problematic (recommending a 75% water change to correct!). The strip had shown 0 nitrates in the same sample!!
Although they seemed really convenient, it was too good to be true. These strips are absolutely useless if they’re inaccurate. I wish I could return them and am sad that so many fish died in this process. Will be switching to non-strip methods of testing to avoid this in the future.

UPDATE: These may not be as bad as I fist thought. My API Nitrate test kit keeps showing High nitrates but taking my tank water to the local fish store they tested it THREE times with their API kits & all 3 tests show almost NO nitrates. (which match the strips) So I may just have a bad API test kit. Called API but they don’t answer & don’t call back as promised. Poor customer service! Upgrading my rating for these strips from One to Three. But what’s up with Amazon not being able to ship a new API kit sold by them & shipped by them for over 2 1/2 weeks to a Prime member?

IF YOU LOVE YOUR FISH DO NOT USE! If you trust these strips you’ll likely kill your fish. When a “trusted” API test kit shows Nitrates at a danger level of 80+ ppm these strips show <5-10 ppm. Same for even more dangerous Nitrites & absolutely deadly Ammonia. I can't compare the other minor factors like PH & Hardness but the BIG three above are the critical ones that'll kill your fish. Not just me, my local professional fish store agrees. But hey, if you need a $10 temperature strip go for it. Just throw the strips away.

Not bad. I needed it for the ammonia measurements of my tank, and it’s not bad. Just that strips aren’t as reliable as a master kit. But for now, this will do.

So far, the tests I did are accurate. I did 3 times within 1 week of new water change, all the tests resulted within range. After added about 50 fishes to my tank, 2 weeks later, my water started to get a little bit cloudy, so I tested the water again and it showed high in nitrate and nitrite. So I can confirm that the test strips are good.
